Jim Tate
Founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Jim Tate is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Overdrive Global LLC. He is married to the former Candacey Anne Roberts, and as a blended family, they have 5 children; Abby Caroline, Kyle, Kelly, Kandy and Kale. Jim was a former soldier within the enlisted ranks of the Army Special Operations for 17 years, and completed his tenure of service as a training and weapons qualification advisor to the command structure of the Alabama Military Academy (200th Regiment Leadership) for 7 years. Post retirement, Jim was called on to serve as the senior security advisor to the Honorary Consul General of Japan for Alabama, where he stood post for elected officials within the state of Alabama, the Japanese Embassy in Washington D.C., and had the opportunity to stand post with the US Secret Service for the Vice President of the United States, Michael Pence on a campaign trip.
Jim’s logistics career began in 1990 through logistics in a manufacturing industry for 10 years, he served as a senior advisor to a national brand logistics company for 13 years with over 20 million in billing. In 2016, Jim opened the doors for Overdrive Global LLC where leaders are welcomed and customers come first. His expertise of managing hundreds of over the road projects, coupled with managing several manufacturing plants and their logistics requirements. In just under 30 years of service, Jim has managed over $100 million dollars of logistical billing, and over 50 million miles of OTR transportation networking.

Kelly Parker

Kelly Parker is the “Rock and Tower” of Overdrive Global LLC and serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO, along with leading the office of Budgeting, Media, and Carrier Procurement.
With a prestigious background in growth development in the textile industry, Kelly has redirected her passions within global logistics and the transportation industry. Kelly leads our team with a high degree of analytical skill, collaborative team orientation, and a binding spirit for business development. She lives for the challenge that comes from the CEO’s desk, as well as, the entire staff. Representing the office of the Chair and CEO, and with a wide scope of imagination, Kelly is prompted to set and achieve goals within our organization and work intimately with our customers to help discover solutions in a regularly changing universe of logistics. Given the company’s tremendous growth, she is the epitomy all expectations and standards.
Kelly was born and raised in the State of Alabama. After sharing a childhood with her twin sister and two brothers, she pursued an education from Auburn University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Business Management with a specialty in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Family Business. She is happily married to Brody Parker, and they reside in Alabama with their two daughters. When Kelly and Brody are not working, they enjoy spending time with family, friends, and their two dogs. Overdrive Global would not be the same without the spirit and extraordinary heartbeat of Kelly Parker!
Randy Ross
Advisor to the CEO – Personnel Development/Chief of Staff
Randy Ross, a former baseball and football athlete, earned a baseball scholarship to Snead State Junior College and St Bernard College. After his collegiate career, Randy became an American football coach leading both high school and college
athletics for a span of over four decades (1976 – 2020).
Coach Ross began his career at the high school level serving from 1976 to 1987 with all winning seasons, and led 19 players into football and baseball collegiate careers. To date, Coach Ross has the highest winning percentage of any head football coach at Southside High School in Gadsden, AL. In 1988, Coach Ross was ask to join the staff at Vanderbilt University where he served 3 seasons as DB and QB coach.
In 1990, Coach was asked to joined the staff at the University of Alabama, where he would serve under 4 head coaches throughout 17 seasons. His responsibilities were, but not limited to, Football Recruiting Coordinator, Director of Football Operations, where he managed the athletic budget of over $100 million dollars during his tenure, and Director of Personnel of Football Administration. During Coach Ross’ tenure at Alabama, and in 1992, the Alabama “Crimson Tide” went undefeated under Head Coach Gene Stallings and earned the Southeastern Conference Championship and went on to win the Sugar Bowl for the 1992 NCAA Div 1 National Championship.
After coaching at Alabama, Coach Ross went on to serve at SMU and the University of Arkansas as Director of Operations and Chief of Staff, until he retired in 2020. Coach Ross concluded his career with 42 consecutive years service, and is recognized for his contribution of character and values with student athletes by the NCAA.
Randy Ross has been married to Ann Lowe Ross, a former high school guidance counselor, for 45 years. They did not have children of their own, but after coaching for 45 years, Randy and Ann consider themselves parents to hundreds of young men and women in their coaching and teaching careers. Randy and Ann Ross retired in February of 2020 and now reside in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Corey P Murphy

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, I left the Midwest to pursue my passion in Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University. Life happened however, and I traded my passion for my true calling in software.
Today, I’m a seasoned software engineer with experience in many industries ranging from financial services, hotel & restaurant, and transportation logistics. Currently I spend my days leading a team of application developers at Regions Bank, and my nights developing applications for friends, colleagues, and clients.
I’ve worn many hats during my 21 year career, which has afforded me the opportunity to continually expand my knowledge, and participate in all facets of software development, including design, development, testing, deployment, marketing, selling, field installation and instructional facilitation.
When I’m not hacking out the next web app, or solving the world’s problems with code, I enjoy tinkering with home automation, spending time with the love of my life/wife Amanda, and my two kids, as well as serving God through my church, small groups, and community outreach.
